Tuesday, December 31, 2024 Happy New Year! You’re invited to attend First Night—Northampton’s most beloved signature event. Since 1985, First Night Northampton has filled Paradise City with a 12-hour, family-friendly festival of the arts, culminating in a traditional ball-raising from the roof of the Hotel Northampton. Gather with friends, neighbors, and visitors at over 20 terrific downtown venues for an astounding array of entertainment presented by hundreds of talented performers.
Vimana is an instrumental all original jazz trio (Brian Rodrigues, bass; Bruce Todd, drums; Leo Hwang, guitar). We’ve played throughout the valley at The Rendezvous, Good Neighbors Good Music Festival, Bishop’s Lounge, Luthier’s Coop, First Night Northampton, etc. Vimana blends blues and funk in all original jazz compositions that have a sound that is contemporary but reflects in our influences from the 1960s and 1970s and weaves together cultural roots from Korea, to Portugal, to America.
