Since 1985, First Night Northampton has filled Paradise City with a 12-hour, family-friendly festival of the arts, culminating in a traditional ball-raising from the roof of the Hotel Northampton. Gather with friends, neighbors, and visitors at over 20 terrific downtown venues for an astounding array of entertainment presented by hundreds of talented performers.
Songwriter, performer and Massachusetts Beat Poet Laureate - Tommy Twilite cut his musical teeth in the early 80’s Northampton scene at legendary local venues Sheehan's Cafe and the Bay State Hotel. Tommy performed and recorded through the early 2000’s with various original acts including: No Apparent Reason, The Plutonians, Decoupage, the Tommy Twilite Orchestra and the Birds of Mars. Some of these early albums have recently become available online via Spotify, etc., with more yet to come! Now a solo performer, Tommy brings his acoustic guitar, lyric-driven songs, spare arrangements and intensely passionate vocals to venues near and far. Through his music and poetry, Tommy Twilite continues to explore what it means to be a troubadour in the modern world
