Since 1985, First Night Northampton has filled Paradise City with a 12-hour, family-friendly festival of the arts, culminating in a traditional ball-raising from the roof of the Hotel Northampton. Gather with friends, neighbors, and visitors at over 20 terrific downtown venues for an astounding array of entertainment presented by hundreds of talented performers.
King Radio have been stalwarts of the Western MA original music scene for over 30 years. These days, the band mostly plays highly orchestrated softer pop music with 60s overtones (Bacharach, Beach Boys, High Llamas, etc.). They'll perform First Night as they did in 2019, with minimal amplification and fill the room with beautiful harmonies.
